More preparation for our Celebration of Learning Day

We have finished our Roald Dahl books. Now we're making a paper bag of all the things in the story that we listened too.

VIP - a Very Important Package!!

Sinbad has arrived! Our whole school is adopting this very special parrot. This means that the real Sinbad on Whenua Hou Island will be well looked after from the money we raised.

All we need is a camp fire!

We had a sing-a-long with room 4 and 5 to make sure our kakapo song was up to scratch.

Birthday boy makes a connection

"Time is like fractions because there is half past and quarter past" said Finlay. Tumeke Finlay it is important to see how fractions are used in everyday life.

Elsie helped us with our fraction knowledge from the homework she did last night. Tumeke Elsie.

A fun way to add in tens

Ellie, Elsie , Tara, Amelia and Mackenzie made this big tens track this morning and found out how clever a zero can be! We found out that 9 groups of 10 is 90 and even that 20 groups of 10 is 200! What big maths!

Happy 90th Queen Elizabeth II !

The Queen certainly would have loved the cakes that everyone 'baked' for her birthday! Here's a couple that stood out today. The first by chef Matthew and the second from chef Bella.

Real Messy Maths with bread!

We are using bread to learn about maths words 'double and twice'. The bread is going to double in size, it will be twice as big.
