Wonderful adventures at the Museum and Queens Park

First we learnt about the people living on the Kiribati Islands, then we made art like theirs. After lunch we followed a map and found also rats of places in Queens Park. A huge thank you to all our parent helpers. We will have a presentation at assembly next week for you all. :)

  1. Sounds like an awesome adventure Room 3. We have someone very keen to gather flax and get weaving here!

  2. Wow look how hard you are all trying on your treasure hunt, good map skills. What an exciting trip and beautiful weaving, you were all so tired looking when you got back, now I see why!

  4. A fabulous trip to Invercargill. Lots of searching for "clues" and familiar landmarks as we navigated Queens Park. Thank you for the Jelly Tip Ice-creams at the end...what better way to end a Treasure Hunt!
It was interesting watching the footage of the Islands in the Museum Theatre - a lot of skill needed for Island life, spearing Stingray for kai and climbing the coconut trees just to get a drink! :)
    Happy Easter Room 3
